Speed and dimensions of the IPS

Speed

Speed, as an example: Up to 1.400 envelopes an hour, each packed with 6 sheets incl. class book and invoice.

Front feeders

From rolls the IPS6.0 can take:

Size: 8”, 10” and 12” rolls up to 350 m long.

From sheets the IPS6.0 can take:

From 8” x 10” (20 x 25 cm) up to size: 10” x 30” (25,4 x 76,2 cm). This means that you can use the standard sheets 20” x 30” which must be cut to half size 10” x 30” before feeding into the IPS system.

Inspection table

The inspection table has a 20” long inspection area and includes a PC with keyboard and screen for control of all functions of the IPS. On the PC screen you can show a thumbnail of the actual picture for comparison and instruct the IPS for special handling of the particular package.

Side feeders

Universal feeder for sheets, composites or portraits cut to size.

Size: 3½” x 4¾” (9 x 12 cm) up to 9½” x 12” (24 x 30 cm) Thickness: Min. 0,0039” (0.1 mm), Max. 4¾” (12,5 mm) +- 5%. Stack height: 17¾” (45 cm). Stack weight: 2¼ l.b.s. (5 kg). The IPS has room for two universal feeders.

Printer / feeder for invoices / giro

Blank or pre-printed sheets size: 6” x 8¼” (15 x 21 cm) up to 8¼” x 12” (21 x 30 cm). Individual text can be printed in the process; 1200 image quality: 1200 x 1200 dpi 2400 image quality: 600 x 600 dpi.

Printer/feeder for envelopes

Size 2,8” x 5½” (70 mm x 140 mm) up to size: 12” x 18” (32 cm x 46 cm). Stack height: 3¼” + 6 ¾” (8 + 17 cm). Stack weight: 1 kg (½ l.b.s.). Individual text can be printed in the process, and the envelope can be closed or left open as you wish. The IPS has room for two printer/feeders, so you can use two different size envelopes in the same run.

Vario – feeder for pictures or paperwork

Size: 5” x 6¼” (12 x 16 cm) up to 9½” x 12” (24 x 30 cm) 16 shelves each can be stacked up to 1½” (4 cm) A sheet can be moved from two shelves at a time, to the conveyer.

Extension module

Complete frame with conveyor and room for up to three extra Universal Feeders. Measurements: Length: 91” (231 cm), Width: 39” (99 cm), Height: 64” (163 cm).

Transport boxes for finished work

5 boxes are located on each side, at the end of the conveyor. The IPS feeds the envelopes in separate boxes for each batch (e.g. school class) and prints a report for each batch. Each box measure 15¾” x 23½” (40 x 60 cm), and can be divided into two rooms for envelopes up to 10” x 12” (25 cm x 30,5 cm).

Barcode reader

In front of the cutter, one barcode reader is placed to identify the pictures and match them with the database.
